Apple announces iPad 2

Steve Jobs just announced the new iPad 2 which is one-third thinner than the first-generation model. It is just 8.8mm thick, ( thinner than the iPhone 4) and lighter than the iPad 1 (1.3 pounds vs 1.5 pound).

New accessories have also been introduced. New cases called Smart Covers will attach magnetically to the iPad 2 and will automatically wake the device when opened and put it to sleep online blackjack practice when closed (a bit like the blackberry phones). Apple will also sell a HDMI adapter.

The iPad 2 will be available starting March 11 in the U.S. and will come in two colors – (white and black). Pricing and capacities are the following : $499 for 16GB, $599 for 32GB, and $699 for 64GB. The Wi-Fi + 3G models will cost $629 for 16GB, $729 for 32GB, and $829 for 64GB.
