Apple Releases iTunes 10.4 (64 bits, full screen, designed for Lion)

    Apple today released iTunes 10.4 with support for Lion's Full-Screen Apps feature. The other major feature of iTunes 10.4 is that it is now a 64-bit Cocoa application.

    According to Apple, "you can now use iTunes with OS X Lion's new Full-Screen App capability, which allows you to use iTunes and other apps without distractions. Navigate between your full-screen apps with a simple gesture.

    Note: iTunes is now a 64-bit Cocoa application on OS X Lion and includes a number of important stability and performance improvements. Some iTunes plug-ins may no longer be compatible with this version of iTunes. Please contact the plug-in developer for an updated plug-in compatible with iTunes 10.4."


    The Beatles Finally Come to iTunes

      The Beatles finally go digital and they come to the iTunes Store to do so. That was today's big surprise that Apple advertised yesterday. We were expecting something more cloud related, but music fans should be happy. You can now buy the Beatles Box Set, offering a total of 256 songs and an iTunes LP mini-documentary and videos for $149.00.
      Individual albums are also available for $ 199.99 or $12.99. They feature enhanced iTunes LP. Individual songs can also be purchased for $1.29 each.


      Apple Updated its Homepage Announcing Major iTunes Related News For Tomorrow


        Apple just updated its home page with the announcement of some iTunes related news that are coming tomorrow. You can read on the page : "Tomorrow is just another day. That you'll never forget".

        Speculation has started around the web. Will it be related to streaming functionnalities or linked to cloud computing? Only a few hours to wait....


        Apple Releases iTunes 10.1 with iOS 4.2 and Airplay Support

          Apple today released iTunes 10.1. The new version of iTunes brings support for iOS 4.2 and Airplay.

          The new functionalities in iTunes 10.1 are the following :

          - Use AirPlay to instantly and wirelessly stream videos from iTunes to the all-new Apple TV.
          - Sync with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 4.2.
          - Provides a number of important stability and performance improvements.

          iTunes 10.1 is available for Mac OS X 10.5 and higher and Windows (32-bit and 64 bit). Since it is 10.5 only some PowerPC Macs are not supported any more.
