Ergonis Software today released Typinator 4.2, a maintenance release of their text expander. The new version fixes a problem with the recently released Mac OS X 10.6.5 that caused certain abbreviations to fail. It furthermore offers improved compatibility with third-party applications like iTunes 10, 4D, Outlook 2011, and others.
Typinator 4.2 also works around an issue where Safari’s suggestions in the address field caused leftover characters in expansions, reduces the housekeeping activities done at idle time, fixes a problem where Typinator stopped working when more than 100 sets were installed, and improves overall stability and performance.
Typinator is a simple solution that boosts your productivity by automating the process of inserting frequently used text and auto-correcting typing errors. Across all applications, it detects specific sequences of typed characters and automatically replaces them with text snippets, graphics, URLs, dates and special characters.
System Requirements:
Typinator 4.2 requires Mac OS X 10.4 or newer. Mac OS X 10.6 or newer is recommended. Typinator 4.2 is a recommended update for everyone running on Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard).
Pricing and Availability:
Typinator can be purchased securely on the Ergonis Software website. The upgrade to Typinator 4.2 is free for all customers who purchased Typinator in the last 2 years.
