Apple Releases Mac OSX Lion Developer Preview 2

    Apple just released a second Lion Developer Preview. The Build is 11A419. Changes are unknown for the moment.

    Mac OS X Lion Server Developer Preview 2 is also available as a standalone download. It was not anticipated since Apple said from the hgh extreme beginning that the Server part of Lion would be included in the regular release.

    The new developer preview seems to be what TechCrunch called a "golden master" release last week. The final release should be available on time for the June WWDC.


    Lock Desktop 1.0 released on the Mac AppStore

      Lock Desktop for Mac has just been released on the Mac AppStore is a security application that will secure your Mac Computer and return you to a login screen, leaving your applications and data safely locked behind your user name. Once locked, you also have access to the login, restart and shutdown buttons.

      Apple Releases a Developer Preview of Mac OS X Lion

        Apple today released a developer preview of Mac OS X Lion. Lion features :

        • Mission Control, a new view of everything running on your Mac;
        • Launchpad, a new home screen for all your Mac apps;
        • full-screen apps that use the provestra negative indications entire Mac display;

          The new MacBook Pro have a new port called Thunderbolt. Created by Apple and Intel, the Thunderbolt technology is - according to Apple - more than 12 times faster than FireWire 800 and up to 20 times faster than USB 2.0. The connector is the same as the mini display port.  The Thunderbolt port will give you plug-and-play performance with Thunderbolt peripherals, as well as with the Apple LED Cinema Display and other Mini DisplayPort peripherals. You can daisy-chain as many as six devices, including your display. Current VGA, DVI, and DisplayPort adapters are also supported.

          Icon Pallet 2.0 is available in the Mac App Store

            Carnation Software today announced Icon Pallet 2.0, its program and document launcher for OS X just released in the Mac App Store. With Icon Pallet, you can quickly switch between apps, launch documents and folder items. Drag files, folders and documents to the pallet.

            Icon pallet offers the following features:

            * Drag an icon of any file, folder or program to a blank square to install the link on Icon Pallet.

            * Drag a document to one of the application icons on Icon Pallet to open the dragged document within that application.

            * Hold the control key down while clicking on an icon on Icon Pallet (or right-click if you have a two-button mouse) to open a document within a folder, or to see menu options for each icon.

            * Control-click (or right-click) on a blank square to select from a list of common Mac apps.

            * Hover the mouse over an icon on Icon Pallet to see the file name. Hold the command key down while hovering to see the full path name showing where the original file, folder or program is located.

            * Drag icons around in the window pallet to organize them.
