Toughturtle announced today the availability of its free AppFiend application for the iPhone and iPod Touch on the Apple App Store. This simple and efficient application rating system eliminates the need to constantly tell your friends what Apps you are holding.

“Since the iPhone and iPod Touch offers over 25,000 Apps to its users, it is difficult to know which are the best and worst. Also you never know who has written the reviews on the App Store”, said Todd Barnes, Lead Developer of Toughturtle. “We hope people find AppFiend useful. Loaded with the trustworthy reviews from your friends, this free tool should make the good applications easier to find and the bad ones easier to avoid.”

Here’s how AppFiend works. Create a free account for yourself, add Apps you have tried to your App List and write an honest review. Invite your friends to join your network so you can see what Apps they like and figure out what Apps you would like to get, and vice-versa. Features include:

* App List. Your personal list of the Apps you have tried. Rate them, and write a review for everyone in your network to see.

* Gimme List. A list of the Apps that you have yet to try or that you want to learn more about later. One tap and the App can be added to your App List.

* Friends List. A list of the Friends within your network. From here you can drill-down to a detailed list of each Friend’s App List.

* Find Friends. Look up Friends by Name or by Email Address and then tap to send them a Friend request. Once they approve your request, you are linked and can share App information.

* Search Apps. Look up Apps by Name and add them to your App List or your Gimme List. One tap and you can read the App’s complete description and one more tap and you are connected to iTunes to purchase and download.

* Activity. See activity from within your Friend network as it happens.

AppFiend for iPhone and iPod Touch works on all versions of the mobile device, including first generation iPhone and iPod Touch, with a valid Internet Connection. AppFiend is also available on the Web at the AppFiend website from any computer with a valid Internet connection.

AppFiend is the best way to get iPhone App information, from the people you know and trust, your friends. And it only gets better as more users join your network. “I am still working on ways to improve the service”, said Todd Barnes. “For the next release of AppFiend, I am looking into integrating it with Facebook. That should give users another way to mass-broadcast their App experiences to their entire group of friends, even if they don’t have an iPhone … yet.”

AppFiend for iPhone and iPod Touch is available free on the Apple App Store.
