New poll : what feature would you like in the new MacBooks?

In our last poll we were asking you if you were disappointed by the last keynote. 53% said they would have liked to see new MacBooks. In our new poll, we'd like to know what features you would like in the new MacBooks.


Apple Laptop Special Event (October 14th)

Apple just sent invitations for a laptop special event that will take place next tuesday. The new laptops (MacBooks and MacBooks Pros) are supposed to be made of aluminum and sell for as low as $800.



Apple Releases iTunes 8.0.1

Apple has released iTunes 8.0.1. The update is available the Software Update of Mac OSX and provides the following features:

"iTunes 8.0.1 improves stability and performance and provides a number of important bug fixes, including:

• Seamlessly plays the current song when creating a new Genius playlist.
• Improves syncing spoken menus to iPod nano.
• Addresses an issue of deleting HD TV episodes when downloading.
• Improves checking for updates from the App Store
• Improves accessibility with VoiceOver.
• Addresses problems syncing Genius results to iPod."


AirRadar 1.1 released

AirRadar 1.1 is a free application for Mac OS X, that scans for wireless networks and much more. AirRadar allows you to scan for open networks and tag them as favourites or filter them out. You can view detailed network information, graph network signal strength, and automatically join the best open network in range.  Version 1.1 corrects several bugs

PocketMac introduces PocketMac for iPhone

PocketMac just introduced PocketMac for iPhone, the first tool that allows Mac users to sync three of the most popular personal information managers (Microsoft Entourage, Lotus Notes and Meeting
Maker) to the iPhone. This new tool also backs up users' text messages and call logs.

The main features are the following :

  • two-way Sync between Entourage and the iPhone.
  • two-Way Sync Between Lotus Notes & iPhone - Sync Lotus Notes contacts and calendars to and from the iPhone. Additionally, select only the categories of contacts and calendars you'd like to sync.
